The earliest months of a child’s life shape how they come to understand themselves, others and the world around them. Intentionally intimate by design, our infant care programme enables educators to know each child deeply — their rhythms, preferences, emerging interests and unique ways of communicating.
As children grow, they transition naturally into our Nursery 1 programme at 18 months, supported by familiar relationships, environments and EtonHouse’s inquiry-based approach to learning.

The Nest welcomes infants from 6 to 17 months, with starting ages varying by campus. Infants are supported in a calm and nurturing environment that responds to their individual rhythms, interests and emerging capabilities, preparing them for a smooth transition into our N1 programme at 18 months.
We recognise infants as capable and curious learners from the very beginning. Educators observe closely, listen attentively and create experiences inspired by each child’s interests. Learning unfolds through relationships, sensory exploration, movement, play and encounters with thoughtfully selected materials and environments.
The Nest is intentionally designed around intimate communities and responsive relationships. Educators take time to understand each infant’s rhythms, cues, preferences and development, with consistent caregiving relationships and close partnerships with families enabling thoughtful, individualised care throughout the day.
The Nest Standard™ places wellbeing at the heart of the infant care experience, encompassing nutrition, the environment, daily care, hygiene and sleep. Meals are freshly prepared and nutritionally balanced, while carefully considered materials, products and routines support children’s health, comfort and wellbeing throughout the day.
Each day is guided by the individual rhythms and interests of the infants. Children encounter opportunities for sensory exploration, movement, communication, nature and quiet discovery, alongside individualised periods for feeding and rest. Educators observe attentively and adapt experiences in response to each child.
Continuity and familiarity are central to our approach. As children grow, the relationships, rhythms and learning approaches they experience at The Nest nurture confidence and belonging. At 18 months, children can progress naturally into our N1 programme as they begin the next stage of their learning journey.
