A nature school in the gardens

The garden becomes the classroom

At the Bayfront Pavilion, your child’s day unfolds inside a national garden. The curriculum is drawn from that immediate environment: children work alongside nature education specialists and horticulturists from Gardens by the Bay, and explore a biophilic play area and an aquaponics system.

An environment children can trust is what makes growth and learning possible. When children feel settled and secure, they ask questions, research, reflect and take action. That’s how curiosity becomes capability. As the only school in Singapore that works directly with the Reggio Children International Network, this relationship shapes our Inquire · Think · Learn programme.

Three key pillars

What sets us apart

A nature school in the gardens

Nature is an integral part of every child’s learning journey as children spend 50% of their time outdoors engaging in authentic, inquiry-based experiences inspired by their surroundings. Through curated programmes with Gardens by the Bay nature education specialists, and exclusive spaces such as a discovery pond, sensory garden, bug hotel and biophilic play area, children develop curiosity, confidence and a lifelong connection with the natural world.

Change agents for the future

We are committed to being a truly sustainable learning space: reduced plastic use, natural materials, and a farm-to-table philosophy with an aquaponics system and outdoor edible garden where children grow their own produce. Children compost, recycle, and upcycle loose parts in the Gardenia, building habits of mind that last.

The garden is my community

Every classroom extends seamlessly into the Supertree Piazza, a shared learning space that inspires curiosity, collaboration, and inquiry. The Garden School is also a vibrant learning hub for families and the wider community, offering weekend workshops and nature-based programmes that promote lifelong learning in a sustainable garden setting.

Innovative learning spaces

Environment as the third educator

Every corner of the campus invites discovery, connecting children to the garden around them.

Why families choose us

An education that grows with your child

Reggio Emilia-inspired, inquiry-based approach

Guided by our Inquire · Think · Learn curriculum, experiences are thoughtfully designed to spark inquiry, encourage collaboration, and deepen understanding. Educators observe closely and co-construct learning around each child’s ideas and theories.

Passionate and highly qualified educators

We’re the only school in Singapore working directly with the Reggio Children International Network. Our educators train with educators from Reggio Emilia and travel to Italy for study programmes, supported by our own research and training arm all year round.

Strong bilingual programme

An immersive English and Mandarin environment exposes children to both languages from a young age. Our Mandarin programme emphasises cultural immersion, fostering a lifelong love for the language rather than rote learning.

Our commitment to providing nutritious food

A certified nutritionist curates every menu: fresh chicken and a variety of fish, such as salmon, red snapper, grouper, and barramundi, natural sweetness from vegetables rather than added sugar, and quality ingredients such as organic French jams and GMO-free Australian milk.

From our families

★★★★★

“The school bears the immense responsibility of nurturing the seeds of character within these young minds, and it is evident that they do so with an all-embracing love and a spirit of genuine care. The manner in which educators treat the children, and the quality of attention they give them, are vital aspects of the requisite attitude towards their upbringing.”

Meet our PRINCIPAL

Led by experienced, caring educators

Our principal brings deep early-years expertise and lead a close-knit community of educators.

Genevieve Ng

Principal

Genevieve brings over 12 years of experience nurturing both children and educators. She holds a B.A. (Hons) in Early Childhood and Guidance & Counselling, with specialist qualifications in leadership, inclusive practices, and early years.

Guided by Reggio Emilia principles, she sees learning as a co-constructed journey shaped by relationships, exploration, and meaningful experiences. Honouring the Hundred Languages of Children, she believes learning spaces should celebrate diverse forms of expression, where inquiry flows from children’s own questions.

Her leadership philosophy is grounded in trust, collaboration, and reflection. As a mother of three young children herself, she works closely with the team and with families, because when a community walks alongside one another with shared purpose, children thrive.
