What Makes The EtonHouse City Pre-School Special?
Rooted in the EtonHouse Inquire.Think.Learn curriculum and inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our bilingual environment nurtures capable and confident learners. Purposefully designed learning spaces encourage creativity, collaboration, and meaningful connections. By embracing the dynamic energy of the city—its architecture, culture, and people—we empower children to see themselves as active participants in an ever-evolving world.
Our innovative early childhood experience at The EtonHouse City Pre-School is built on three key pillars:
Urban Explorers in the Heart of the City: Our central location transforms the city into a dynamic learning environment, where children discover the stories behind iconic buildings and explore architectural elements through hands-on projects. Curated learning journeys connect them with professionals—such as architects, bankers, lawyers, and business owners—providing real-world insights into the industries that shape our city. These experiences help children understand how buildings are designed, how communities work together, and their own roles within the larger urban landscape.
Flexible Care for Today’s Families: Designed to meet the evolving needs of modern families, we offer enrolment options with half-day, 3-day, and 5-day full-day programmes. Our operating hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM to support working parents' schedules. These hours are further enriched with thoughtfully curated extracurricular experiences, providing children with meaningful engagement beyond the classroom.
Innovative Learning Spaces: Our programme nurtures essential 21st-century skills, empowering children to lead with confidence and creativity. Through inquiry-based learning, children develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. The 'Learner's Loft'—an immersive and interactive space—sparks curiosity and imagination. With features like digital storytelling, interactive wall projections, and creative problem-solving activities, the 'Learner's Loft' transforms learning into an engaging and dynamic experience. Whether exploring an interactive story, solving puzzles, or expressing ideas through digital art, this innovative space will be the heart of creativity and discovery in our new city-centre school.
Innovative Learning Spaces
The EtonHouse City Pre-School is built on the belief that the environment serves as the third educator, guiding children on a journey of discovery and hands-on exploration. This vibrant city-centre preschool will spark curiosity, inspire exploration, and immerse young learners in the dynamic energy of the urban landscape. Through hands-on experiences, creative arts, and interactive learning, children will discover the stories behind the city while developing a deep connection to their surroundings.
- Learner's Loft: A vibrant space where the amphitheater and library come together to enrich the learning experience, providing children with a unique environment for exploration, creativity, and expression.
- Outdoor Adventure Park: Our playground blends natural elements within the urban setting, allowing children to connect with nature while developing essential physical and cognitive skills.
- ReAldo Lab: A creative laboratory filled with loose parts and open-ended resources where children transform ordinary materials into extraordinary creations.
- Edible Garden: A farm-to-table learning area where children grow, harvest, and cook their own produce, fostering sustainability and healthy living.
Passionate And Highly Qualified Educators
The only school in Singapore that works directly with the Reggio Children International Network, its educators receive high-quality professional learning on the Reggio Emilia approach. As one of the few education groups in Singapore with a dedicated research and training arm, we also have a dedicated research and training arm that allows our educators to receive ongoing professional development throughout the year and access the resources to continuously improve their curriculum.
ZhongHua Full Mandarin Immersion
ZhongHua Full Mandarin Immersion programme has been popular with our EtonHouse families at Zhong Hua, Upper Bukit Timah and Newton. Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten 1 children will get to experience a full Mandarin inquiry-based curriculum. ZhongHua Full Mandarin Immersion aims to cultivate fluency in the Chinese language and increase multicultural awareness. Children will build an understanding, acceptance and respect of other languages and cultures while developing knowledge, appreciation and sensitivity to different cultures.
Strong Bilingual Programme
We have a strong track record of students doing well in both local and international primary schools. An immersive environment for English and Mandarin exposes children to both languages from a young age. Our Mandarin language programme also emphasises cultural immersion that fosters a lifelong love for the language.
Pathway to Primary, Secondary and High School
Upon graduation, families can choose to stay within the EtonHouse family. We have three Primary Schools across the island, including our EtonHouse Orchard campus that offers a powerful pathway from Primary to High School. EtonHouse Broadrick is another popular campus families choose for their IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
*EtonHouse Singapore Pre-Schools offer childcare services from 7 am - 7 pm, and follow the academic calendar of January to December. Singaporeans are eligible for government (ECDA) subsidies.

Hendy Handoko, Parent of Julian, Pre-School by the Beach
All his teachers were genuinely caring and welcoming, and they went the extra mile to make sure Julian felt comfortable. Within just a few days, it was obvious that his favourite place was his new school. Out of the excellent educational programmes, we appreciate Mandarin class the best. Read more here

Dalton Family, Pre-School by the Beach
We also love the wildlife that children can naturally encounter around the island. The strong emphasis that EtonHouse places on pastoral care and emotional wellbeing is also extremely important for us, forming positive relationships with teachers and caregivers as well as feeling connected to the school environment we know will positively enhance his development and, most importantly, ensure his happiness.
