Kindergarten
Confidence and Curiosity in the Heart of the City
At The EtonHouse City Pre-School, our Kindergarten programme supports children as they grow into confident, independent thinkers ready to take on more complex ideas and collaborative learning. Situated in Singapore’s iconic Central Business District—overlooking Marina Bay Sands, the Singapore River, and the Merlion—our dynamic urban environment provides rich, real-world opportunities to extend their understanding of the world around them.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we see children as capable, thoughtful, and full of ideas. In Kindergarten, learning becomes more intentional and child-led projects reflect deeper inquiry, emerging literacy, early numeracy, and critical thinking. Our bilingual English and Mandarin curriculum supports children in expressing themselves confidently across languages, fostering global perspectives and cultural understanding.
The city becomes a powerful classroom—children investigate architecture, observe urban life along the river, and engage in research projects inspired by the world they see. These experiences help them make meaningful connections between their learning and the broader community, promoting environmental and social awareness.
Children are empowered to express their thinking through writing, drawing, dramatic play, construction, digital media and more. They collaborate with peers, negotiate ideas, and solve problems together, strengthening communication, empathy, and leadership skills.
In Kindergarten, we prepare children for their primary school journey, focusing on essential language and mathematical literacy skills while nurturing their social and emotional readiness. Through guided experiences, children develop the confidence, concentration, and independence needed for a smooth transition to their primary years.
At The EtonHouse City Pre-School, the Kindergarten years are a time of discovery, reflection, and connection—where every day is a step toward becoming lifelong learners and thoughtful citizens of the world.

Within just a few days, it was obvious that his favourite place was his new school. Out of the excellent educational programmes, we appreciate Mandarin class the best. Read more here

Dalton Family, Pre-School by the Beach
