EtonHouse Education Group Singapore
May 2005 – Present date
Lisa is an educator from Wales, U.K. She started her education journey 22 years ago working with children aged birth – 3 yrs in a Nursery School in the U.K. During this time, Lisa used a play based curriculum and teaching approach to provide rich and meaningful experiences for the children in her care. Looking for a new challenge, Lisa and her husband Mark moved to EtonHouse Singapore to continue their education careers in 2005 and she remains dedicated to EtonHouse as we fast forward 20 years! Lisa continued her studies in Singapore to enhance her knowledge and skills. She began as a teacher but soon moved up to take the position of Vice Principal at EtonHouse Outram. She thoroughly enjoyed this role which allowed her to advocate best practice and ensure quality learning within a caring environment for children.
In January 2011, Lisa moved on to support our new EtonHouse International Pre-School at 718 Mountbatten Road (now known as Nature Pre-School) as the Vice Principal. Her leadership role allowed her to continue to promote quality learning environments and experiences for families under her care. Lisa then took her expertise and strong understanding of the EtonHouse culture and curriculum to EtonHouse Claymore as Principal in August 2012, ensuring that children, parents and educators build a sense of ‘belonging’ to the EtonHouse family. EtonHouse Claymore grew tremendously with a strong enrolment, quality programme and diverse International Community. After 10 years in Asia, Lisa moved back to the U.K in 2015 for one year to welcome her son into the world and operate from the U.K as an educational consultant with EtonHouse. This involved recruitment, strategic management projects and mentoring opportunities with fellow Principals.
Lisa then brought her experience and invaluable knowledge of the EtonHouse context back to Singapore in 2016 as she joined our beautiful campus on Sentosa 10 years ago to help drive quality and memorable learning adventures for pre-school and primary students in her care. Lisa’s legacy with EtonHouse earned her a promotion to Senior Principal. Lisa enjoys collaborating on wider projects within our Educational Group and mentoring fellow leaders as part of this portfolio. She embraces a collaborative leadership approach and is driven to produce quality standards for stakeholders with her favourite motto being “Let’s make the ordinary, extraordinary!” Lisa continues to be inspired by the teaching and learning approach to education in Reggio Emilia and thoroughly enjoys exploring what this looks like within various contexts. She delivers professional development for educators and parent workshops.
After 10 years at EtonHouse Sentosa, with a proven track record for maintaining quality programmes and smooth operations, Lisa has returned to our beautiful EtonHouse Nature Pre-School, full of potential that Lisa was a part of during its early foundation. Lisa feels EtonHouse Nature is a perfect sanctuary for Early Childhood with lush sprawling gardens and enticing learning studios woven across campus. Lisa looks forward to providing innovative high standards and nurturing a thriving community as part of her vision with her latest appointment.
Lisa has embarked on a personal and professional journey with Mindfulness. She views her career as a lifelong learning process and thrives on trending educational practices & research. She has a personal interest in education and values open communication as a tool to build trusting and respectful relationships with others.
In her free time, she loves to spend time at East Coast Park with her family, travel across South East Asia and enjoy the incredible outdoors as much as possible!
