Genevieve Ng
With a strong passion for early childhood education and leadership, Genevieve is honoured to join EtonHouse Garden School By the Bay, bringing with her over 12 years of experience nurturing both children and educators.
She holds a B.A. (Hons) in Early Childhood and Guidance & Counselling, along with Specialist Diplomas and Certificates in Leadership, Inclusive Practices, Early Years (ACEY), and Accountancy. Throughout her journey in the early childhood education sector, Genevieve has served as Deputy Centre Leader and Acting Principal in preschools, and she also had the privilege of teaching at EtonHouse International Preschool, Sentosa, several years ago.
She is inspired by the words of Loris Malaguzzi, founder of the Reggio Emilia approach: “Learning and teaching should not stand on opposite banks and just watch the river flow by; instead, they should embark together on a journey down the water.” To her, this reflects the heart of education — a shared journey where educators learn from children and from one another, just as children learn from their peers and teachers through curiosity, exploration, and authentic experiences.
Guided by Reggio Emilia principles and constructivist thinking, Genevieve views learning as a co-constructed journey shaped by relationships, exploration, possibilities, and meaningful experiences. Every child is a unique and capable individual — naturally curious and full of potential. Honouring the Hundred Languages of Children, she believes learning spaces should celebrate diverse forms of expression, where inquiry flows naturally from children’s own questions and discoveries. Drawing on her background in curriculum and her child-centred philosophy, she strives to foster inclusive, inquiry-driven environments where both children and educators can flourish.
Her leadership philosophy is grounded in trust, collaboration, and reflection. As a mother of three young children, she is passionate about working closely with the team and families to create meaningful and joyful early childhood experiences that nurture curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. She believes that when the community walks alongside one another with a shared purpose, children thrive within a strong and supportive environment.
At EtonHouse Garden School By the Bay, Genevieve looks forward to cultivating joyful, intentional spaces where every child’s first learning journey beyond home is nurtured, celebrated, and deeply connected to the community and the world around them.

The school bears the immense responsibility of nurturing the seeds of character within these young minds, and it is evident that they do so with an all-embracing love and a spirit of genuine care. The manner in which educators treat the children, the quality of attention they give them, and the exemplary behaviour they model are all vital aspects of the requisite attitude towards their upbringing.
