What Makes EtonHouse Garden School by the Bay Special?
Nestled within the enchanting embrace of Gardens by the Bay's verdant oasis, the illustrious Bayfront Pavilion unveils its transformative role as the home of EtonHouse Garden School by the Bay, offering a unique early years programme from infant care to 6 years of age.
The campus is the sole preschool within the storied embrace of Gardens by the Bay. An inseparable thread woven into Singapore’s grand tapestry of the "City in Nature" vision, Gardens by the Bay is a revered national sanctuary and a preeminent horticultural masterpiece, unveiling the zenith of botanical and floral artistry. Enabling young minds to embark on their early years' journey within this realm is a source of boundless anticipation for families and educators, an experience brimming with shared enthusiasm.
At EtonHouse Garden School by the Bay, we are redefining early years education through a purpose-built campus that offers an innovative and unique programme and learning environment specially designed and aligned on the three pillars of nature education, sustainability, and community:
1. A nature school in the gardens
2. Change agents for the future
3. The garden is my community
Derived from its immediate environment, the curriculum is designed for children to spend 50% of their time outdoors in the iconic spaces of Gardens by the Bay. Apart from curated programmes with nature education specialists and horticulturists from Gardens by the Bay, the school will have several exclusively created areas to offer children a unique and innovative outdoor learning experience that is unparalleled in Singapore. The Garden School is also committed to being a truly sustainable learning space that inculcates active thinking and action in the children to become change agents in their communities.
Strong Bilingual Programme
An immersive environment for English and Mandarin exposes children to both languages from a young age. Our Mandarin language programme also emphasises cultural immersion that fosters a lifelong love for the language.
Our Commitment to Providing Nutritious Food
Our school takes immense pride in offering an extensive array of delectable meals, meticulously curated by a certified nutritionist. Each dish is thoughtfully designed by our culinary team, led by skilled chefs who dedicate utmost care to sourcing the finest ingredients to boast exceptional nutritional value.
With a conscious approach, we prioritise minimal sugar content in our offerings. Our culinary strategies include utilising free-range fresh chicken and a variety of fish, such as salmon, red Snapper, grouper, and barramundi. We incorporate ingredients like onions and carrots to infuse natural sweetness into vegetables, steering clear of sugar additives.
Our commitment to quality extends globally, as seen in our use of organic jams from France and sugar-free premium cornflakes from Italy. Additionally, our choice of 100% free-range fresh milk from Australia ensures the absence of antibiotics, GMOs, and hormones.
At EtonHouse Garden School by the Bay, there are various spaces that promotes indoor and outdoor inquiry and exploration. Being able to explore the outdoors and gardens brings closer the concept of sustainability and allows children to discover the natural surrounding, learn about ecosystems and care for them. Children get to enjoy an enriching school life with no classroom boundaries. Some of the key learning spaces we have at our campus are:
- Supertree playground
- Outdoor adventure park
- Timbre deck overlooking pond
- Sensory garden
- Gardenia for upcycling loose parts and other materials
Professional and Passionate Educators
Our educators hold the minimum of a Diploma in Pre-School Education – Teaching. EtonHouse is also one of the few education groups in Singapore with a dedicated research and development centre with pedagogists who continuously provide professional training to our teachers.
Powerful Pathway to Primary, Secondary and High School
For families who come to appreciate our holistic approach to education, the journey does not need to end at Pre-School. Our very first campus EtonHouse Broadrick is an accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP). From there, students can advance to the EtonHouse Orchard campus for their Secondary and High School years.
