Language Pathways

Strong Mandarin and Language Pathways

At EtonHouse Broadrick, language is lived, not taught only as a standalone subject. Children use language meaningfully through inquiry, culture and everyday school experiences, helping them build confidence, communication skills and a broader worldview.

Families can choose from two pathways:

  1. Mandarin Immersion Pathway
An award-winning bilingual programme that develops Mandarin fluency and cultural appreciation by Year 6.

  2. Integrated Curriculum Pathway
Offers Mandarin, Japanese, Hindi or English as an Additional Language, supporting children’s language development within an international school environment.

Mandarin Immersion students consistently achieve strong Youth Chinese Test results while maintaining strong English and Maths foundations. In 2025, students achieved:

  • 100% pass rate across all levels
  • 98% average score across Levels 1 to 3
  • 57% full marks across Levels 1 to 3
  • Top Level 4 score of 96%, achieved by a non-native speaker

The Mandarin Immersion Pathway has been recognised by the HoneyKids Education Awards for Best Bilingual Programme from 2022 to 2025, and by WhichSchoolAdvisor for Best Bilingual Programme in 2022 and 2024.

What Our Parents Say

Having EtonHouse by the Beach based on Sentosa Island comes with many unique benefits - being close to our local community and able to enjoy all that Sentosa has to offer. It is important to me that my son experiences time outdoors daily. As a forest school educator and trained nurse, wellbeing and time in nature are key components for me. We have placed our name down for EtonHouse Pre-School by the Beach due to the location right by the beach and nature trails. We also love the wildlife that children can naturally encounter around the island. The strong emphasis that EtonHouse places on pastoral care and emotional wellbeing is also extremely important for us, forming positive relationships with teachers and caregivers as well as feeling connected to the school environment we know will positively enhance his development and, most importantly, ensure his happiness.

Frances and Peter Farnsworth,
Parents of Madison (K1) and Georgiana (Year 3) – 2026

My daughter Emma attends EtonHouse International School Sentosa and will move to EtonHouse Pre-School by the Beach. We value the location for EtonHouse Pre-School by the Beach as the campus is set in a phenomenal location with views of nature and the ocean! Emma loves learning in nature and she will benefit greatly from the Island as my playground programme in the great outdoors.

Geraldine Lopez
Parent of Rafael, Class of 2025

Julian absolutely loves his school, his teachers and his friends! Joining Islander Preschool has been the best decision we made so far. As he was moving from different infant care, we were quite concerned about him adjusting to a new school environment. But it was clear from day 1 that he is in good hands. All his teachers were genuinely caring and welcoming, and they went the extra mile to make sure Julian felt comfortable. Within just a few days, it was obvious that his favourite place was his new school.

Out of the excellent educational programmes, we appreciate Mandarin class the best. Now Julian misses his teachers and friends more than he misses his dada, so his dada is a bit jealous! We are looking forward to Etonhouse Pre-School by the Beach.

Our innovative early childhood experience at The EtonHouse City Pre-School is built on three key pillars:

  1. Children Protagonists of the City: Through observing, exploring and researching the city's architecture, culture, and community, children leave traces of their learning and thinking on the city in a diffused symbiotic relationship.

  2. Flexible Care for Today’s Families: Designed to meet the evolving needs of modern families, we offer 3-full day, 5 half-day or 5 full-day programmes. Our operating hours are from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm to support working parents' schedules.

  3. Innovative Learning Spaces: Empowering 21st-century skills through inquiry-based learning that builds critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity in every child.

The EtonHouse City Pre-School is built on the belief that the environment serves as the third educator, guiding children on a journey of discovery and hands-on exploration. This vibrant city-centre preschool will spark curiosity, inspire exploration, and immerse young learners in the dynamic energy of the urban landscape. Through hands-on experiences, creative arts, and interactive learning, children will discover the stories behind the city while developing a deep connection to their surroundings.

Our bilingual environment lays a strong foundation in language literacy, with both English and Mandarin educators present throughout the day, making language acquisition natural and spontaneous. We also offer a dedicated Japanese programme led by our in-house specialist

What to Say, When to Push, When to Trust:

Navigating the Parent-Educator Relationship

10 Jun, WED, 12 - 1 PM SGT

How do you actually navigate the relationship between home and school when something doesn’t feel quite right?

The parent–educator relationship is one of the most important in your child's learning journey. But knowing what to say, when to raise a concern, and when to step back is not always straightforward. Conversations can feel delicate, interpretations can feel uncertain, and it is not always clear whether to speak up, wait, or trust the process.

At the same time, children often show us more than they can explain. Behaviour at home, emotional shifts after school, or changes in confidence can leave parents wondering how to interpret what they are seeing, and how (or whether) to bring it into conversation with educators.

In this webinar, we will unpack real scenarios parents face when navigating communication between home and school, and how these moments can be approached with more clarity and confidence.

This session is for parents who want more clarity, language, and confidence in navigating everyday school conversations, especially when things feel uncertain or emotionally charged. When home and school understand each other better, the partnership deepens. And that is where children truly thrive.
