What Makes EtonHouse Orchard Special?
EtonHouse International School Orchard is unique in more ways than one. Situated in the heart of the city, its central location makes it a popular choice amongst families in Singapore.
Offering a Primary to Secondary and High School programme for students ages 5 to 18, this school lends itself to a modern teaching and learning environment. The school provides a dynamic vibe with the clever use of its environment that models a collaborative workplace setting to nurture innovation, encourage collaboration and develop a sense of community that connects students to real-world experiences.
Everything we do at this boutique campus is designed to set students up for success:
A Programme That Is Aligned With International Best Practices
The EtonHouse education emphasises academic rigour and well-roundedness in equal measure. In the Primary years, the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) is more than about gaining knowledge in traditional school subjects. The transdisciplinary framework includes local and global issues into the curriculum so that children learn about the world around them. It also aims to nurture independent learning through inquiry — children pick up the good habits of investigating and problem-solving on their own.
This strong foundation of self-directed learning laid in the Primary Years pays off in the Secondary school years as our students take on the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). In High School, we offer the globally recognised International A-Levels, alongside our bespoke EtonCore programme that ensures our students leave us equipped to access leading universities as confident and capable global citizens.
Boutique Inclusive School with a Close-Knit Supportive Community
The school’s ethos is centred around personalised academic support and strong pastoral care. We are a passionate, driven, and thriving learning community that is committed to providing the most inclusive and personalised education in Singapore, and the boutique nature of our campus makes this possible. The small class sizes allow teachers to know their students’ interests and competencies, which help them to tailor lessons accordingly and ensure that they receive the attention and support they need to succeed in IGCSE and A-Levels.
Holistic Education that goes beyond Academics
We are an inclusive school and provide various programmes to support students from diverse backgrounds and abilities to be successful in our school. Our project-based inquiry curriculum, led by our international staff, is designed to cultivate skills that will be important throughout their lives, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Students have weekly Physical Education classes at external sports venues, which allow them to access a wider range of sports activities. They also have the opportunity to develop interests and nurture student agency and growth mindset through self-initiated projects and various co-curricular activities, such as basketball, archery, Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, lego robotics, and more. An EtonHouse education also focuses on soft skills like empathy, resilience, self-confidence and how to regulate negative emotions and develop a positive mindset.
University and Career Guidance
We have a strong career guidance programme that starts from primary to help students explore their strengths and aspirations for success in university and career options. Our High School students receive personalised guidance to support them as they make the transition to their next life stage. Whether they want to discuss their career or university options, seek guidance in applying to their dream university, or need emotional support, our team is here to offer practical advice. We are a UCAS registered centre too.
EtonHouse Orchard's prime location in the heart of the city and close to residential areas means less travelling time and more time left for learning.
Etonhouse Academic Scholarships
The school is offering scholarships for its Secondary Three (Year 10) and High School One (Year 12) students who are taking the IGCSE and International A-Levels that cover the tuition fees for the duration of the course. Find out more on eligibility and how to apply here.
