What Makes EtonHouse Orchard Special?
EtonHouse Orchard is unique in more ways than one. Situated in the heart of the city, it is the only international school on Orchard Road. Its central location makes it a popular choice amongst families in Singapore.
Offering a Primary to Secondary and High School programme for students age 5 to 18, this school lends itself to a modern teaching and learning environment. Designed by students, the school provides a dynamic vibe with the clever use of its environment. You will see a ‘boardroom’ for presenting ideas, a ‘campfire’ for creative brainstorming, a ‘piazza’ and other spaces that connect with 22nd-century learners.
Everything we do at this boutique campus is designed to set students up for success. Our IGCSE programme offers a foundation year in Year 9 followed by the IGCSE course delivered in Year 10 and 11. This provides students a greater breadth of the subjects taught and a foundation year in Year 9 where they will access Key Stage 3 while also building the skill sets needed to be successful in IGCSE. With classes kept small, students get personalised academic and pastoral support to develop their individual competencies and interest while building the pathway to academic success in IGCSE and IB Diploma.
We are an inclusive school and provide a variety of programmes to support students from diverse backgrounds and abilities to be successful in our school. We provide internationally recognised qualifications and a strong career guidance programme that starts from primary school for success in university and career options. Our SMART projects programme enables our students to pursue their interests over and above excelling in their subjects. Lastly, our curriculum that is led by our international staff is designed to nurture skills that will be important throughout their lives such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
A Programme That Is Aligned With International Best Practices
The EtonHouse education emphasises academic rigour and well-roundedness in equal measure. In the Primary years, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) is more than about gaining knowledge in traditional school subjects. The transdisciplinary framework includes local and global issues into the curriculum so that children learn about the world around them. It also aims to nurture independent learning through inquiry — children pick up the good habits of investigating and problem-solving on their own.
This strong foundation of self-directed learning that was laid in the Primary Years pays off in the Secondary school years as our students take on the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). In High School, we offer the IB Diploma (IB DP). As an authorised IB World School, we maintain the gold standard in international education.
University Guidance and Career Counselling
We provide counselling services to our High School students to support them as they make the transition to their next life stage. Whether they want to discuss their career or university options or they need emotional support, our specialists are here to offer practical advice. We are a UCAS registered centre too.
EtonHouse Orchard is the only international school on Orchard Road. Its prime location in the heart of the city close to residential areas means less travelling time, and more time left for learning.
Boutique And Exclusive Environment
The school's ethos is centred around strong pastoral care, The boutique nature of our campus makes this possible — there is a rich teacher to student ratio across all levels so students receive the attention and support they need to succeed.
