Leadership Team
Renee Sim
Principal
Renee embarked on her educational journey 15 years ago as a Preschool Educator in Singapore. She had the privilege to grow and journey through the different roles in EtonHouse group as a Educator, Principal and Senior Curriculum Manager. Renee shares a strong passion for curriculum leadership and has since decided to succeed in the role of the Principal of EtonHouse Newton. She advocates for a strong pedagogy in cultivating children’s curiosity through inquiry and meaning-making to empower them to be life-long learners.
Renee believes that the purpose and existence of a school are to enact the stories of a community it brings together. A school is a living community of individuals who come together in a shared venture of learning and development. As a leader of the school, she believes that trusting and reciprocal relationships between children, educators and families are essential to building the culture of a school. She values family and community partnerships as paramount to providing the best learning experiences and resources for children.
With the same belief she upholds of children as competent individuals with rich life experiences and perspectives, she sees educators in the same light and acknowledges the importance of embracing collaborative leadership in her day-to-day work alongside educators to create and sustain a rich learning environment for children.
