Teachers

Priya Nathan is from Singapore, and has been with EtonHouse Vanda for 17 years. She has completed her Bachelors in Early Childhood Studies from Monash University in 2010. She is currently the Senior Teacher and Curriculum coordinator in Vanda. Priya has a strong passion developing a high quality curriculum that enhances all basic principles of care and education. She strongly believes that children are capable of long-term, sustained learning and children use many different ways to show their understanding and express their thoughts and creativity (100 languages). Based on this, she promotes children’s interests and build deeper in their knowledge, leading to experiences in problem-solving, inquiry, investigation, discovery and active hands-on exploration. She is also currently a core member for ECLC, be known as Pedagogist And Specialist in Teaching and Learning (PASTEL) for Language & Literacy Learning Community (ECDA). Priya is also a self-taught artist and have self-published her own children’s storybook as the author and illustrator.

Ms Shuiying is from Fujian, China. She graduated from Learning Capital College Singapore with a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education in 2006. She also has experience in Early Childhood Pedagogy, Psychology and Early Childhood Hygiene and other specialties, such as: dance, piano, etc. She worked in Kindergarten from 2002 till 2010. She joined EtonHouse Vanda in 2011. She is currently the Senior Teacher and Mandarin Curriculum coordinator in Vanda.  

She is a teacher with enthusiasm, love and responsibility. She likes to create a comfortable environment for children to carry out inspiring language learning space, so that children can actively think and explore. Her strength is in making the learning interesting and flexible according to the characteristics of children and the environment, allowing children to learn and explore while playing.

She likes sports and walking, and riding a bicycle in a nearby park to enjoy nature. She also enjoys to cook local food, especially on weekends with her family.

Ms Alice has twenty five years of work experience in Early Childhood Education. She has a Bachelor degree in Education and a Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching, Singapore. Teaching is her passion, and she has an extensive experience working in both Singapore’s MOE Kindergarten and MCYS schools. She has completed her training as an Inclusion Coordinator for early intervention support and resources. 

Ms Alice is committed to instilling curiosity and confidence in young children. She applies and adapts various education methods to cultivate each child’s interests, self-esteem and creativity. Her pedagogical philosophy is that every child is unique and the environment plays a very important part for the children to grow physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. She strives to create an environment for learning that encourages her students to be problem solvers and lifelong learners.   

Ms Alice loves travelling with her family to see new places and experience different cultures and traditions. She spends time on weekends walking, cycling, and volunteers at the stable. She is excited for the wonderful journey along with the children and families. She is happy to be a part of the team and looking forward to meeting up with all!

Rachel completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and joined EtonHouse Pre-school Vanda as an English Class Teacher in 2022.  Rachel has a strong belief in building a curriculum revolving around children’s interests, and the dialogues among them, teachers, families and the environment. As a firm believer of inquiry-based learning, she has taken up courses, workshops and attachments at inquiry-led preschools to deepen her understanding of the Reggio Emilia’s approach. Assuming the role of a co-researcher, Rachel strives to support children in becoming active agents of their explorations of the ‘whys’ and ‘hows’ of the world around them. 

Ms Gao Yi Fei joined EtonHouse Pre-School as a Mandarin teacher in 2021. She holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. She taught at MindChamps, Maplebear and The  Littleskool house before she joining EtonHouse. she has worked in the industry for many years. She is a responsible and caring teacher who believes that every child is unique. It is the teacher’s responsibility to discover potential and talents so that each child can become their own unique self in an environment of love and freedom. 

Yu Jiaxin completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education from Harbin Cambridge University, China. She joined EtonHouse Vanda in 2022. She has been in the sector for seven years. She is enthusiastic and a responsible teacher who believes in active learning and hands-on exploration for children. She is skillful in creating a comprehensive and well-rounded curriculum that meets education requirement and standards. 

Ms Chua Si Jie graduated from Chung Chou University Science and Technology, Taiwan with a Professional Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Before joining EtonHouse, Si Jie had more than seven years Chinese language teaching experience in Singapore. During the past few years, she has shown passion and ability in sharing the Chinese language and culture with her students. She believes every child is unique and gifted, in her class, students will be taught in a way specially designed according to their interests and needs. She loves to encourage them with patience and let students experience a bright and pleasant learning journey.

Ye Yu Ping graduated from Shu Te University with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Care and Education from Taiwan.  Ye Ping have taken many hours of professional development courses in order to be prepared to meet every child’s needs.

Yu Ping aims to help children discover the joy of learning and develop a strong belief in their own abilities. She hopes for children in her care to strive to do their best and have a sense of pride in their accomplishments. She believes in instilling in them to appreciate and respect nature and each other.

Jinyan was a Senior Chinese language teacher before she joining EtouHouse Vanda. Jinyan graduated in Early Childhood Education from  China, in 1997. She has 25 years of work experience.

Jinyan joined EtonHouse Vanda in February 2022. She is hardworking and enthusiastic in her work.

Jinyan has taken courses to enhance her professional development. she completed a course in “Strategies on Teaching Picture Storybooks” conducted by the Singapore Centre for Chinese language and completed Art Express Training (Art Styles). 

she completed “The Storyteller in the Kindergarten Classroom”, which covered the fundamentals of storytelling to suit the educational objective, techniques for engaging your audience and effective use of voice, facial expression and gesture.

She completed training in Silk Screen Printing and Relief Art.

Jinyan is a reliable and dedicated teacher. Her lessons are enjoyable and well loved by the children.
