I believe that children are curious and active learners. They learn best through exploring and problem solving independently and with peers. As a teacher, it is important to create a positive and inviting environment for children. I also believe in nurturing children towards positive character traits such as being kind, honest and responsible individuals.
Every child is unique in their own way, and they grow at their own developmental level. As an Early Childhood Educator, I believe that it is my responsibility to understand the child as a whole and tailor the curriculum according to the child’s needs.
I believe that children learn best when they are happy and are active participants in their learning. I will provide a warm and engaging environment for my children, where they feel confident and safe to explore freely. Two values I hope to instil in every child I nurture are love and respect, and I will do this by modelling the same values in my daily interactions with them.
I believe it takes a village to raise a child, hence a strong parent-teacher partnership is paramount in fostering a positive preschool experience. In addition, quality observations and reflections are important to help develop each child’s interest and potential.
I believe in developing a high-quality curriculum that enhances all basic principles of care and education. I strongly believe that children are capable of long-term, sustained learning. I strongly believe that children use many different ways to show their understanding and express their thoughts and creativity (100 languages).
