Amanda Lee

Amanda holds a Master of Education (Early Childhood) from the National Institute of Education and an Advanced Diploma in Kindergarten Education–Teaching. Her career in early childhood education began as a class teacher in a preschool, where she developed a strong foundation in child development and pedagogy. Her passion for inclusive education later led her to take on the role of an educational therapist, where she honed her ability to support children with diverse learning needs.

Since joining EtonHouse in 2016, Amanda has brought with her a wealth of experience in differentiated teaching and inclusive practices. Her journey within the school has seen her progress from Core Teacher to Senior Teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, and, most recently in 2025, Vice-Principal of EtonHouse Upper Bukit Timah.

Amanda’s teaching philosophy aligns deeply with the EtonHouse approach to inquiry-based learning. She believes that preparing children for the 21st century goes beyond the teaching of academic skills. Instead, she advocates for nurturing adaptable, curious, and reflective lifelong learners who are empowered to ask meaningful questions and seek deeper understanding.

A committed learner herself, Amanda has continually invested in her own professional development, including participation in the prestigious International Study Group in Reggio Emilia. She now channels her expertise into mentoring educators, equipping them to be intentional facilitators of learning and upholding a high-quality curriculum across the campus.

Amanda is a passionate advocate for child-responsive education, where the learning environment is viewed as the ‘third teacher’. She works collaboratively with her team to ensure that the curriculum remains dynamic and responsive—purposefully scaffolding observations into teachable moments and cultivating children’s emerging inquiries. Amanda and her team look forward to building strong partnerships with families to support each child’s learning journey through meaningful, context-rich exploration.
