Justin Lobsey
Principal
Justin Lobsey joins us as the Principal of the EtonHouse Broadrick Campus, bringing 29 years of extensive educational experience, with 19 of those years dedicated to school leadership, including a decade as Principal. His career spans both the Australian and international sectors, having successfully served as a principal for four years in Australia, four years in China, and most recently, two years in Cambodia. Throughout his leadership journey, he has spearheaded major institutional successes; under his guidance, his school in Australia was recognised as a centre of excellence for its Instructional Leadership Program and data-tracking processes, while his school in China consistently ranked as a Top 100 school globally for its IB Diploma scores over the last 10 years. He also brings valuable expertise as a High-Performance Coordinator, specialised in developing targeted academic programs and leveraging data-driven insights to advance school priorities. He holds a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and a master’s degree in international education, Leadership and Change. Demonstrating his deep commitment to international academic standards, he also holds two prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Leadership Certificates: the Advanced Certificate in Leadership Research and the Certificate in Leadership Practice.
His educational philosophy is seamlessly aligned with the EtonHouse ethos, placing the school at the very heart of the community. He firmly believes that schools must be welcoming, friendly spaces where the diverse needs of students always come first, ensuring they have an optimal, aspirational environment in which to thrive. Central to his approach is the integration of inquiry-based frameworks like the IB and the child-centred principles of Reggio Emilia, which treat students as capable individuals and active participants in their own learning journey. He believes that true educational excellence is built on rigorous academic programs and deep connections between students, parents, and teachers. By fostering an environment where every member knows how they can contribute, he aims to ensure that everyone in the community experiences a profound sense of connection and belonging. Away from school, he prioritises spending quality time with his family while continually challenging his mental strength, physical health, and fitness.

We really loved the facilities, the outdoor space the school offers and the super friendly and approachable staff. EtonHouse Broadrick gives students and parents a “family feeling”. Everyone is keen to help, they are so polite and happy. Our daughter joined the bilingual programme and her Mandarin has improved so much. Read more here

The school has a lovely “at home” feel while offering a vast and green outdoor area for the kids to play and explore. Classes are sometimes taken outside, which our son enjoys in particular. Another big pull for us was the Japanese language programme, which the school offers as part of the Mainstream Learning curriculum. With familial ties to Japan, we wanted to continue to support their Japanese learning in terms of language and its cultural nuances too. Our children really enjoy their time in this class. What we valued the most about the school was the diversity of teachers and their passion for teaching the children. The staff are always around in the morning to greet the children by their names and assist with their arrivals with big smiles on their faces. Our children have formed friendships with children from all over the world. They also love the individual specialist classes, which give children access to a curriculum that’s more than just academic. Read more here
