“Our task regarding creativity, is to help children climb their own mountains, as high as possible.”

EtonHouse Infant Care
(6 - 17 months)

At EtonHouse, we understand that the earliest years are deeply significant. For new parents seeking a safe and nurturing environment, our Infant Care programme offers an enriching start, providing personalised care and approach that honours each child’s unique development and interests. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we see every child as capable and curious learners.

A purposefully designed environment encourages exploration and discovery. Infants have access to a wide range of materials, including age-appropriate books, toys, and manipulatives, which support their cognitive development. Children experience a variety of sensory activities designed to promote gross motor skills, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination. Our youngest learners get to enjoy learning outdoors in buggies too, soaking in the sights, sounds, and textures of the world around them.

With a very rich teacher to child ratio to cater to the individual strengths and interests, every infant receives individualised attention, fostering holistic development and ensuring a high level of care and safety. As they grow, children develop into confident learners, transitioning smoothly into our N1 programme at 18 months, supported by familiar faces and learning environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

EtonHouse Infant Care welcomes children from 6 to 17 months. During this formative stage, infants are supported in a calm and nurturing environment that responds to their individual rhythms, interests and emerging capabilities. Our programme is thoughtfully designed to support early development while preparing children for a smooth transition into our N1 programme at 18 months.

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, we view infants as capable and curious learners from the very beginning. Educators observe closely, listen attentively and design experiences that build on each child’s interests. Learning takes place through exploration, sensory experiences, relationships and play, within an environment that invites discovery and supports early communication, movement and thinking.

A rich teacher to child ratio allows educators to provide attentive, responsive and personalised care for every infant. Strong relationships form the foundation of our programme, supporting a sense of security and belonging. Our environments and daily routines are carefully designed to prioritise safety, wellbeing and comfort, giving families confidence and peace of mind.

Each day is guided by the infants’ rhythms and interests. Children engage in sensory play, movement experiences, quiet moments and outdoor walks, where they can observe and experience the world around them. Educators support learning through gentle interactions, conversation, songs and play, creating a balanced day that nurtures both development and wellbeing.

Continuity and familiarity are central to our approach. As infants grow, they are supported by familiar educators, routines and environments, building confidence and a strong sense of belonging. This thoughtful progression supports a natural transition into the N1 programme at 18 months, allowing children to feel secure, capable and ready for the next stage of their learning journey.
